Barcelona’s ace striker Lionel Messi has been lately recorded to be in all praise for Cristiano Ronaldo after picking up the Golden Boot award for becoming the top scorer in La Liga in the previous season. Messi who scored 46 goals in Barcelona outfit last season in an interview to a Spanish media praised Ronaldo for his scoring abilities.
Messi who is the current holder of the Ballon d’Or told warm words about Ronaldo praising his goal scoring prowess. He said,” I don’t know if Cristiano Ronaldo is at his peak but he is always there scoring goals in all the games and taking part in his club and national side.” Messi added, “He has been doing that for many years and whether he is at his peak or a bit less makes no difference.”
Ronaldo who is recently having a great time in both international and club football is speculated to be crowned the FIFA World Footballer of the Year. And Messi’s comments on his competitor with few days remaining before the announcement of the Best Player of the year will surely spice up things a bit.
