Argentina won 2-0 against Bosnia-Herzegovina in a friendly match on Monday at the Busch baseball stadium in St Louis, Missouri. Sergio Aguero scored both the goals and gave Argentina much needed victory after Friday’s goalless draw against Ecuador.
In absence of Argentina captain Lionel Messi, Aguero took charge of the attack and provided coach Alejandro Sabella necessary breathe in his experimental line-ups. Argentinean midfielder Angel Di Maria also played well.
“It was important to finish the year well playing like this and that we didn’t concede goals in either match,” 25-year-old Aguero told TyC Sports after the match.
The first time World Cup qualifier Bosnia-Herzegovina is hopeful to do better in the 2014 World Cup in Brazil next year.
