IAS officer Ashok Khemka who is best known for taking on Congress President Sonia Gandhi’s son-in-law Robert Vadra in illegal land deals, has received clearance for appointment in a central post.
The Cabinet Secretary has cleared his appointment at the Central after dismissing allegations of misusing office leveled by the UPA government.
Since he exposed Robet Vadra’s “falsified documents” for 3.53 acres of land in Gurgaon, Haryana, in 2013, Khemka was r allegedly been targeted.
The 49-year-old IAS officer is currently Director General, Archive, in Haryana and soon will join in central as joint secretary.
BJP and Aam Aadmi Party have welcomed government’s decision.
BJP leader Shahnawaz Husain said, “He is a good officer. If he gets opportunity, he will do well.”
AAP’s Yogendra Yadav said, “Hope this ends the victimisation of an officer who cannot be bought or pressured.”
