Despite Narendra Modi tsunami across the country only three non-BJP-non-Congress chief Ministers had able to hold on their states and emerged victorious than ever before.
West Bengal CM Mamata Banerjee, Tamil Nadu CM Jayalalithaa and Odisha CM Naveen Patnaik – not only beat Modi wave but also better their tallies in their respective states.
J Jayalalithaa’s AIADMK has taken unprecedented lead in Tamil Nadu by winning 37 out of 39 Lok Sabha seats. West Bengal chief Minister Mamata Banerjee has fought alone in this election and won 34 seats out of 42 with whooping mandate. TMC pushed Left front to the wall with extraordinary result.
Naveen Patnaik, the man who has been voted back to power for the fourth consecutive time in Odisha, has also lead his party BJD to win 20 Lok Sabha seats.
Interestingly these three have fought without any alliances and took big risk of their political career. Although between these three parties they enjoy more than 90 seats but they may not able to play the greater role in Delhi as they had expected. The people of this country have given Narendra Modi-led BJP a clear and hostorical mandate to rule the country for next five years.
Party | Seat | Total Seat |
AIADMK | 37 | 39 |
TMC | 34 | 42 |
BJD | 20 | 21 |
