Senior BJP leader Sushma Swaraj has openly opposed the re-entrance of Reddy brothers into the party. The mining moguls of Bellary, the Reddy brothers, left the party after they were arrested in the mining scam. They formed a party called BSR Congress. At first the duo wanted their party to merge with Congress, but as Congress declined their offer, they now want to get back to BJP. Party’s Karanata unit is pushing for this but after Sushma Swaraj’s open opposition it would be difficult for the party to welcome the tainted duo.
“I am opposed to the BSR alliance or merger with BJP in Karnataka. I have conveyed to Shri Raj Nath Singhji in writing that BJP must not permit this,” Sushma tweeted.
Sushma is also opposing Venod Sharma’s entry into Kuldeep Bishnoi’s Haryana Janhit Congress (HJC). Venod Sharma is the father of Manu Sharma who is convicted in the Jessica Lal murder case.
“I am strongly opposed to this. I have conveyed my views to Shri Kuldeep Bishnoi,” she tweeted.
