Shiv Sena leaders to not attend Fadnavis’ swearing-in ceremony tomorrow

On Friday when BJP’s first CM for the state of Maharashtra will be taking oath, Shiv Sena leaders will not be present to attend this ceremony. There were talks between both the parties on forming a coalition government in the state but, now it seems that these talks have Uddhav Thackeraynot been fruitful and they have not been able to reach a conclusion. This is mostly the reason why Shiv Sena leaders won’t be attending the swearing-in ceremony of Devendra Fadnavis at Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai.

BJP’s National General Secretary Rajiv Pratap Rudy tweeted that, “Talks with Shiv Sena going on very amicably. No outcome yet. Seems unlikely Shiv Sena will be part of govt. as of now.”

He informed PTI that BJP has accepted NCP’s offer of outside support in the larger interest of development of Maharashtra. But BJP has not given any written submission about taking NCP’s support.

“Any political group, formation or individual ready to extend unconditional support to the BJP government in the larger interest of development of Maharashtra will certainly be welcome without reservations,” Rudy told PTI.

On the other hand, Shiv Sena leaders have maintained a firm stand, as far as they and their party is concerned. Senior Sena leader Vinayak Raut told ANI that all their MLA’s thought why should they attend a function where they won’t be respected.

Another senior Shiv Sena leader Gajanan Kirtikar said, “Shiv Sena won’t bow down before BJP. Shiv Sena will protect its self-esteem. All Shiv Sena leaders have given rights to party Chief Uddhav Thackeray; he will make a decision on 1st November.”

Sources too have confirmed to Spectralhues that Sena chief will endorse his decision on November 1 and that their party leaders won’t be attending the swearing-in ceremony of Devendra Fadnavis tomorrow.
