Setback for Third front; Left-AIADMK alliance crumples

A big blow to Third front as the pre-poll alliance between the Left and AIADMK has collapsed in Tamil Nadu ahead of 2014 Lok Sabha polls.  

According to the reports Tamil Nadu Chief Minister and AIADMK Chief J Jayalalithaa has decided to end the alliance with Left parties due to seat sharing issues. The AIADMK rejected to give Left parities more than 2 seats this time.  

With strong poll projections for AIADMK in the coming Lok Sabha polls, Jayalalithaa is in no mood to sacrifice seats for weak Left parties. Also the poll pundits are indicating AIADMK’s possible alliance with Modi led-NDA after the election.
