BJP has expelled senior party member and Rajya Sabha MP Ram Jethmalani from the party for six years. He will now serve as an independent Rajya Sabha member from today.
BJP president Rajnath Singh took the decision after renowned lawyar Jethmalani dared the party leadership again by saying it did not have the “guts” to take action against him.
“If there is any action against me, I will welcome it but I don’t think anyone has the guts to take any action against me,” Jethmalani told reporters.
Jethmalani has been criticising BJP’s decisions publicly and has been attacking the leaderships on various issues. He was suspended from the party for his attack on then party president Nitin Gadkari in 2012.
Jethmalani also targets Senior party leaders Sushma Swaraj and Arun Jaitley for “complete ignorance of relevant facts” for opposing the appointment of the new CBI director.
