While speaking an election rally in Churu district in Rajasthan, Congress vice-president Rahul Gandhi said one day he could also be killed like his grandmother and father but he doesn’t care.
“Shayad mujhe bhi maar denge ek din. Koi pharak nahin padta (Probably I too will be murdered one day. But it doesn’t matter),” Rahul said.
Rahul spoke at a length about Indira Gandh’s assassination and said on her mother Sonia Gandhi’s advice he is now telling his stories rather than narrating his mother’s sufferings. Notably few days back he explained the pain and sadness of Sonia Gandhi when she could not able to cast vote for her dream project Food Security Bill in the Lok Sabha due to sickness.
“The pain that I suffered that day and then when I lost my father, I know and I understand. As if someone has ripped my chest apart,” Rahul said.
“I could feel my story in their pain and hurt. After Indira’s assassination, there was only anger all around. Today, that anger has disappeared from the minds of our Sikh brothers. It takes minutes to start anger but years to get rid off it,” he added.
Attacking BJP, he said, “They can set fire in UP, Gujarat, Kashmir and we have to hold the hands of the victims.”
