If media reports are to be believed then current Home minister P Chidambaram will take over Finance Ministry in August before the Monsoon session in Parliament begins.
After Pranab Mukherjee’s departure from the Finance ministry on June 26 to contest in the upcoming presidential polls, Prime Minister Manmohan Singh takes over department for time being.
However, now when economy is getting very bad shape every day, congress feels it’s the high time to give a fulltime Finance minister to the country. And the first choice is Mr. P Chidambaram, former finance minister and current Home minister.
Current power minister Sushilkumar Shinde is a strong contingent to become next Home Minister, but it would be very interesting if Sonia Gandhi ask congress’s new friend, Samajwadi Party Chief Mulayam Singh Yadav to take over the Home ministry.
In politics anything can happen, right?
