A grand alliance of Lalu Prasad Yadav’s Rashtriya Janta Dal, Nitish Kumar’s Janata Dal (United) and Congress have agreed to fight together against BJP alliance in the coming by-elections Bihar, set to held on August 21.
In the new formula, JD(U) and RJD would contest four of the 10 seats each, while Congress would field its candidates in 2 seats.
The official announcement will be made later.
Meanwhile, BJP and Ram Vilas Paswan’s Lok Janshakti Party has began their seat negotiations and the latest development suggests that BJP is going to contest nine out of the 10 seats, while LJP will fight in one seat.
