Nitish Kumar asks special status for Bihar in Adhikar rallyAttacking the UPA government at the Adhikar rally in Delhi, Nitish Kumar said, “Bihar is not begging for it. If they don’t give the special status now, Bihar will get it after 2014,”

“This might be the first time that the Biharis have shown such strength in Delhi to get what they deserve. We have not been treated fairly. The Centre’s policies have not been favourable. This is the time for the Centre to help Bihar. If helped by Centre, Bihar will be a developed state,”  Kumar said.

Over 60 thousand supporters gathered at the Ramlila Maidan to hear Nitish’s first address in Delhi as the Bihar Chief Minsiter.

Nitish Kumar however praised Finance Minister P Chidambaram’s Budget 2013 but ask Centre to do more for the backward states which has been deprived for long.

He said that the Adhikar rally is not only for Bihar, it is for “other backward states too”.

“Do not oppose if other states started asking for special status too. If they fulfill the requirements, they should be helped, given the special status as well,” he said.

About Sprightly Spirit

“I dare do all that may become a man. Who dares more is none”. And all, may be. It may be the vigor. Or the spirit. Or the courage to avoid being “politically correct” or bent. And, ban all averse with immaculate overture of graciously fathomable words firm in views. Subtle. Justifying the undying conscience. Values. Knowledge. And, dares to stay true. True to own. True to the world. And, to the words. With a dream in eyes it exists. In you. In me. In all. The sprite that never shies away. The spirit that never dies!
