After the governors, now the Modi government has asked chief of National Commission for Women, Mamata Sharma, to resign from her post.
Along with NCW, government has also asked the head of SC/ST Commission panel, PL Punia to step down.
It is now clear that the new BJP-led NDA government will scrap all the major appointments made by the previous UPA government and is ready to take on Congress.
Already PMO has asked all seven members of the National Disaster Management Authority to submit their resignations.
Today only Chhattisgarh Governor Shekhar Dutt resigned following the UP governor BL Joshi’s footsteps. Government has asked governors including Kerala governor Sheila Dikshit, Rajasthan governor Margaret Alva, Gujarat governor Kamla Beniwal, Maharashtra governor K Sankaranarayanan and Tripura governor Devendra Konwar to step down.
