Although he has not made into the list of eight finalists, but the Prime Minister has won the TIME magazine’s person of the year by online Readers’ Poll.
The magazine has announced its result early today in Twitter.
TIME magazine’s editors, meanwhile, have chosen final eight names out of 50 global leaders and CEOs to eight individuals who will be named as the TIME’s Person of the Year today.
The final eight names are:
- Alibaba group head Jack Ma
- Ebola caregivers
- Russian President Vladimir Putin
- Apple CEO Tim Cook
- Ferguson protesters
- Singer Taylor Swift
- National Football League commissioner Roger Stokoe Goodell
- Kurdish politician Masoud Barzani
The prestigious honour, given by the magazine since 1927, goes to the person who “most influenced the news” during the year “for better or worse.”
