Nagaland Home Minister arrested

Nagaland’s Home Minister Imkong L Imchen was arrested on Monday morning from Wokha district for carrying plenty of illegal arms, alcohol and Rs. 1.10 crore in cash in a vehicle.

Assam Rifles personnel searched his vehicle while he was going to constituency in Mokokchung district and found the arms, liquor and cash in his car. Imkong L Imchen was later handed over to the district police.

Prior to the crucial election in Nagaland, the candidates are using money, power and other means to get the votes. Only last week, Election Commission team has seized Rs. 1 crore cash from a NPF candidate.
