Samajwadi Party supremo Mulayam Singh Yadav has made another election promise today when he said his government will ensure 24 hour electricity in Uttar Pradesh in one year.
“As far as availability of power is concerned, what has BJP done in this regard in its three times rule? Our government will give 24 hour electricity in the state after a year,” Yadav said in Lucknow.
The announcement comes at a time when BJP’s Prime Ministerial candidate Narendra Modi had slammed Akhilesh Yadav government of not doing sufficient for the growth of the state.
“Mulayam and Akhilesh have been targeting me. Today Mulayam said Modi cannot turn UP into Gujarat. He is absolutely correct. Gujarat means 24 hour electricity supply. Gujarat means 10 per cent agricultural growth for 10 years and not 2-3 per cent. Mulayam does not have the capability to turn UP into Gujarat,” Modi had said in Gorakhpur.
