Prime Minister Manmohan Singh defended UPA’s economic reforms and said India will come back to 7 to 8 percent growth rate in next two to three years in the Rajya Sabha on Friday.
He said if the country wants to get rid of poverty and unemployment then the only solution is economic reforms and India needs a growth rate of 8-9%.
He said that along with economic reform his government will continue to support social reforms.
Prime Minister asked Sri Lankan Government to take care of Tamil people there and must engage Tamil leaders in Sri Lanka to solve the problems.
Dr. Singh again hit out at Pakistan and said they should not expect normal relations unless they control terror groups which targets India.
