Minister of State for Parliamentary Affairs Rajeev Shukla said that Prime Minister Manmohan Singh may participate in the discussion on missing files related to coal block allocations.
The announcement came after BJP and AIADMK stalled Question Hour in Rajya Sabha and demanded response from Prime Minister.
“Prime Minister may also intervene in case it is required,” Shukla told the House.
“Some clarifications were sought (and) clarifications were given. (However) it remained inconclusive. We are ready to conclude that discussion and if necessary Prime Minister may also intervene,” Shukla later added.
Opposition Arun Jaitley said house is not satisfied on Coal Minister Sriprakash Jaiswal’s statement on Tuesday and he demanded Prime Minister’s clarification on the missing cola files.
“Prime Minister is in the House… Prime Minister should give his reaction,” he said.
