Facing a severe credibility and accountability crisis for the UPA government and his own reputation, the Prime Minister, Manmohan Singh today met Law minister Ashwani Kumar and senior Congress party members to seek some solution.
After Tuesday’s Supreme Court’s observations on the CBI’s affidavit on its coal scam report, opposition launched fierce attack on Prime Minister and demanding his resignation along with the Law minister Ashwani Kumar.
Manmohan Singh today refused to comment on Supreme Court’s severe observation and said he will reply after study the same and take whatever action is necessary.
Law Minister Ashwani Kumar meanwhile avoided media and remains silent.
The sources are telling that his future is depended on Supreme Court’s next hearing on May 6. If on that day CBI say that its final report was never shown to the Law Minister, then he will get relief.
However, UPA 2 is in the political mess. It seems the country has a government but without governance.
