West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee slammed former chief minister and CPI(M) leader Buddhadeb Bhattacharjee for his statement that the Trinamool Congress would act terror in the Lok Sabha election.
“People have seen goondasim in the 34-year rule of the LF government. Have they forgotten that during the Nandigram violence people were killed and thrown into the river? Many people are still missing and their wives are still hoping that their husbands will return home,” Mamata told reporters.
“The past is so horrible — so many people have been suppressed, killed and tortured in Bengal. Now people of Bengal are liberated and democracy has been restored,” Banerjee added.
Lashing out at Centre for not providing enough fund to the West Bengal, Mamata Banerjee said, “The Centre did not provide any help to us in tiding over the debt problem. It had allowed the L F government to take loans at random amounting to thousands of crores of rupees. We are maintaining fiscal discipline and that is not our crime. We will not bow (before the Centre) despite the difficult situation we are facing in managing the finances.”
Mamata Banerjee also warned Kamtapuri Liberation Organization and asked to stop killing innocent people.
“I don’t know what do they get by killing innocent people. If they want to kill me, they can do it hundred times.”If you feel afraid then fear psychosis will engulf you. I know who do such things,” Banerjee said.
