The main accused in Bihar’s recent road-rage case Rocky Yadav, who shot teenager Aditya Sachdev on his head, killing him; has been arrested in Bodhgaya early Tuesday morning.
The accused Rakesh Yadav alias Rocky who is son of JD(U) legislator Manorama Devi has been arrested from near his father’s hot mix plant by the Special Police Force at around 3 am on Tuesday morning. He had been absconding since soon after the incident on Saturday night and his mother MLC Manorama Devi had refuted all claims that she may know of his whereabouts, also saying that if he was guilty he would be surrendering himself to the police.
Along with Rakesh, his all-India-licensed pistol was also found with him, allegedly with which he had shot Class XII student Aditya Sachdev. Aditya Sachdev was the 19 year old son of a businessman and had been on his way back from a birthday party with his friends when terror struck. His parents have currently asked the Media to stay away from them, and leave them alone.
According to the Bihar Police, the accused has pleaded guilty and is under arrest by the Bihar Police. Investigation is going on to ascertain whether the bullet that pierced Aditya’s skull was Rocky’s or not, amid speculation that it may have been done by someone other than Rocky in the midst of the fight.
Bihar’s Chief Minister, Nitish Kumar has said that no one will be spared from the ‘long arms of law’ and BJP members in Lok Sabha on Monday had demanded the imposition of President’s Rule in the state in light of increasing crime in the state of Bihar ever since the rise of the JD(U), RJD, and Congress alliance has come to power there. Many leaders have also been quoted saying that this is the return of the ‘Jungle Raj’ in Bihar in reference to the rampant crimes, and chaos that had governed Bihar in 2005 and before.
The SSP will later hold a conference to reveal more details about the case. However, as of now SSP Garima Malik has refused to reveal any details.
