A day after Pakistan’s National Assembly passed a resolution against ‘India’s hostility at the LoC, the Indian Parliament on Wednesday passed a counter resolution ‘warning’ Pakistan not to taste patience.
The resolution condemned Pakistan provocative role at the border by killing 5 Indian jawans and increasing tension between the countries.
Lok Sabha Speaker Meira Kumar read the resolution at the Lok Sabha.
“India is not a threat to Pakistan. It is the terrorist groups that have been nurtured by Pakistan that have become the region’s biggest threat,” the resolution said.
“We hope Pakistan will abide by the ceasefire commitment on the LoC and International Border in letter and spirit. Pakistan must not take India’s patience for granted… J&K including parts forcibly and illegally occupied by Pakistan, is part of India,” the resolution added,
Earlier Pakistan had passed a resolution against India, condemning the “unprovoked aggression by Indian military forces across the LoC in recent days”.
