LK Advani praises Narendra Modi

In one of a rare occasion, veteran BJP leader LK Advani has publicly praised BJP’s prime ministerial candidate Narendra Modi.

LK Advani who has been vocal against Gujarat Chief Minister, has praised his development model at an election rally in Maharashtra’s Ahmednagar on Monday.

“We will change the country, your vote will not only ensure a hat-trick for Dilip Gandhi, but it will also help change the country. Make Narendra Modi the Prime Minister, bring a good government and see what happens,” 86-year-old Advani said.

After embarrassing the party over a ticket, Advani finally agreed to fight from Gandhinagar instead of Bhopal constituency. The veteran leader’s ambition to become the Prime Minister of India took a blow when the BJP announced Narendra Modi’s name as its prime ministerial face despite Advani’s fierce opposition.

The Advani camp which is consisting of senior BJP leaders like Sushma Swaraj, Jaswant Singh, Uma Bharti etc have seen often publicly target Modi and embarrassed the party. As the power struggle continues within BJP, it is indeed very surprising to see Advani suddenly praising Modi.
