Delhi chief minister Arvind Kejriwal has been admitted to a Ghaziabad hospital early this morning with high fever and severe lung congestion. He is suffering from bronchitis and currently undergone with medical tests there. His situation deteriorated on Tuesday night following over 30-hour protest in which he also slept in the open on road along with AAP supporters.
Arvind Kejriwal called off his agitation after Delhi police sent two police officers on leave pending investigations and also the governor Najeeb Jung assured him of action.
Although Kejriwal claimed it as “victory” but the amount of criticism he received this time from media and from ordinary people, he had to climb down. He declared himself as ‘anarchist’ and threatened to disrupt Republic day celebration. His open insult to constitution has also not gone well with the people around the country. He targeted media and asked police to remove the uniform and join the dharna. His protest created n-number of inconvenience to the people including traffic jams, metro stations shutdown and disruption in arrangements of Republic Day parade. People expressed their disappointment with AAP and its style of politics which also forced Kejriwal to rethink his style of function.
Senior BJP leader Arun Jaitley called him a ‘Maoist without weapons’.
Former IPS officer and team Anna member Kiran Bedi also slammed Kejriwal.
“A climb down for CM of delhi! From seeking suspensions of 4 to only 1 going on leave! Erring Ministers stay on regardless! Unjust+Shameful,” Bedi twitted.
