AAP chief Arvind Kejriwal has called for a legislators meet in New Delhi following the reports that BJP is considering forming government in Delhi. The AAP MLAs will meet later today to discuss future course of action.
The Aam Aadmi Party is worried that many of its MLAs may switch to BJP in case they form the government. Already Arvind Kejriwal has accused BJP of trying to woo its MLAs.
Earlier this month Kejriwal along with AAP MLAs had met President Pranab Mukherjee and demanded fresh polls for Delhi assembly.
The party also submitted a memorandum to the President, alleging BJP of approaching 15 of its MLAs for support.
“They have been luring them with ministerial berths, properties and cash ranging from Rs 10 to Rs 20 crore. When this did not work out, our MLA from Shalimar Bagh Bandana Kumari was given a life threat. She has already filed a police complaint in this regard,” the memorandum stated.
Currently AAP has 27 MLAs in the 70-member Delhi Assembly, while the BJP which is the single largest party has 32 sitting MLAs.
