It is likely that Jharkhand Governor Syed Ahmad will recommend a President’s rule in the state next week. Both Congress and Jharkhand Mukti Morcha have failed to gather adequate numbers to form the government on its own.
According to the sources the Governor is considering dissolution of the house and is going to recommend presidential rule in the next week.
With 18 MLAs in the assembly, The JMM has opted out from the BJP led government last week and is hoping to come into power with support from Congress. Top leaders from JMM are trying to convince Congress but so far Congress has shown no interest to go with JMM. Congress has 13 MLA’s in 81-seat Jharkhand Assembly.
Incidentally, in the last 12 years Jharkhand has seen eight governments in the power.
