Aam Aadmi Party leader Arvind Kejriwal’s press conference in New Delhi was interrupted today when a man, claimed to be a BJP worker, threw black ink at him.
The man was arrested and taken to the Parliament Street police station. Alleging Kejriwal that he had misused Anna Hazare’s name, the man ‘Nachiketa’ said that he had come from Maharashtra.
“I have done this this to protest that these people have betrayed Anna and they have betrayed the Jan Lokpal andolan. Anna has asked then to not use his name, still these people are using Anna’s name. I am a BJP worker,” Nachiketa said after throwing the ink.
Earlier, talking to the reporters Kejriwal said he had received a letter from Anna Hazare over the use of funds collected for the Janlokpal Bill agitations
“Last (Sunday) night when I returned from campaigning I received a letter from Anna Hazare. The letter says a lot of people have complained against Arvind. We respect Anna Hazare, he is like our guru. He has raised some issues in the letter,” said Kejriwal.
Kejriwal said he will withdraw his candidature from Delhi Assembly elections if anyone can show there is any dysfunction in AAP’s accounts.
