Gujarat riots no longer an issue with US: Condoleezza Rice

The US government has said that they have no problem working with Narendra Modi if he becomes India’s next Prime Minister. Former US secretary of state Condoleezza Rice also said that 2002 Gujarat riots are no longer an issue with US.

narendra-modiIn an interview with CNN-IBN’s Karan Thapar, Rice said, “I think we have put behind us the past and we have established the foundation for the future and now it’s a matter of pursuing on a consistent basis at all levels in both countries the fruits and benefits of that foundation that we put in place.”

“India is a great democracy and whoever India choses the Prime Minister is going to be the partner for the United States and I believe since our fundamental interests and values are so increasingly aligned, our values have always been aligned, our interests are increasingly aligned that the Prime Minister of India and the President of the United States, whoever is in India and certainly would be President Obama for a number of years further, that they will find a way to push this relationship forward,” Condoleezza Rice added.

About Sprightly Spirit

“I dare do all that may become a man. Who dares more is none”. And all, may be. It may be the vigor. Or the spirit. Or the courage to avoid being “politically correct” or bent. And, ban all averse with immaculate overture of graciously fathomable words firm in views. Subtle. Justifying the undying conscience. Values. Knowledge. And, dares to stay true. True to own. True to the world. And, to the words. With a dream in eyes it exists. In you. In me. In all. The sprite that never shies away. The spirit that never dies!
