The Congress is hoping to bring a game-changer before the next year’s Lok Sabha election. According to the sources government is planning to table controversial Women’s Reservation Bill in the upcoming winter session of the parliament.
“The Women’s Reservation Bill and Lokpal Bill are government’s priority in winter session of Parliament”, Parliamentary Affairs Minister Kamal Nath told reporters.
Congress President Sonia Gandhi is hopeful to pass the Women’s Reservation Bill in the parliament to get the edge with the women voters before 2014 Lok Sabha polls. Congress is trying hard to negotiate with the Samajwadi Party and the Rashtriya Janata Dal over the issue.
