Exit polls across television channels are projecting an explicit majority for the Aam Aadmi Party in the 70-seat Delhi Assembly elections that concluded on Saturday evening. The Aam Aadmi Party, which was ahead of the Bharatiya Janata Party, in exit poll surveys done by several news organizations, is to secure a majority in the national capital, according to the polls.
Following are the projections made by exit poll surveys:
Organization: | AAP | BJP | Congress |
IndiaToday-Cicero | 39 | 26 | 3 |
News Nation | 39-43 | 25-29 | 1-3 |
ABP-Neilsen | 43 | 26 | 1 |
News24-Chanakya | 48 | 22 | 0 |
IndiaTV-C Voter | 35 | 31 | 3 |
Exit polls have projected a very poor performance for the Congress party, while staging AAP and BJP way ahead of the Congress. However, both, AAP and BJP are very confident about their victory. While the Aam Aadmi Party acknowledged the exit poll surveys, the Bharatiya Janata Party dismissed them, reiterating their words of confidence.
Election results are to emerge on the 10th of February and only then will we be able to know who has made it to the CM’s seat in Delhi.
