The BJP assembly meeting released a ‘vision-document’ on Tuesday, highlighting their plans to make the Capital a world-class city with major focus on development and security, especially for women besides the promises of a smooth and transparent functioning in governance, four days before the assembly polls.
The document is apparently released instead of the manifesto. Issues such as scarcity of water, less power-cuts with reduction in the rates of electricity, shelters to slum dwellers and other destitutes are addressed. However, there was no mention made about Delhi’s full statehood, a pivotal issue that has been on the cards since long while, which had been underlined in the 2013 assembly elections by the party.
To function more effectively, a special radio programme called ‘Dil ki Baat’ would be launched through which the MLAs as well as the other ministers could openly communicate with the masses.
