Dawood Ibrahim’s D-company charged with plotting against Modi Govt: NIA

Infamous Indian criminal mafia Dawood Ibrahim has been said to be plotting against the Modi government according to National Investigation Agency (NIA).  The National Investigation Agency recently revealed that D-Company, led by underworld don Dawood Ibrahim, “wanted to spread communal tension in the country by attacking religious leaders, Rashtriya Swayamsewak Sangh (RSS) leaders and churches” soon after Modi government’s rise to power in 2014 elections.

The D-company shot two RSS leaders Shirish Bangali and Pragnesh Mistry on 2nd November 2015, who were right wing leaders, in retaliation to the hanging of 1993 blasts convict, brother of wanted terrorist Tiger Memon, Yakub Memon.

However as the NIA probed the case further, they discovered that Pakistan-based Javed Chikna and South Africa-based Zahid Miyan alias ‘Jao, who are members of Dawood Ibrahim’s D-company had masterminded the shooting of the two RSS leaders and had also been planning the attack on churches, and religious leaders which thereby would’ve caused massive communal tensions within India. As per NIA, they had also created a list of corresponding BJP and RSS leaders who could be targeted in their scheme.

The National Investigation Agency has reached out to the Interpol to help them in tracing Javed Chikna who is reported to be in Pakistan and has sent judicial requests (letters rogatory) and Mutual Legal Assistance Treaty (MLAT) requests to Pakistan, Nepal, South Africa, Saudi Arabia, the UAE and the USA.

The agency has said that it will be filing a charge sheet against the 10 members of the D-company who were a part of the conspiracy. These include Haji Patel, Mohammad Yunus Shaikh, Abdul Samad, Abid Patel, Mohammad Altaf, Mohsin Khan and Nisar Ahmed who are 7 criminals already arrested last year.

Criminals Zahid Miyan and Javed Chikna will also be a part of the charge sheet. However the agency revealed that they wouldn’t file a charge sheet against Dawood Ibrahim unless some meaningful evidence of his participating in the plan is gathered.

The NIA has already issued red corner notices, or international ‘wanted’ notices against Chikna and ‘Jao along with their latest pictures, to facilitate quick arrests.
