Congress may approach court if Govt denies leader of opposition post

The Congress is considering legal option against Narendra Modi-led NDA government it refused to grant the post of leader of opposition in Lok Sabha to Congress.

Congress is planning to wait till Speaker Sumitra Mahajan gives her final decision on this issue before going all out fight against BJP.

As the budget session is approaching, Congress is desperate to get the role of principal opposition party in the Lok Sabha. It is likely that Congress leader in Lok Sabha Mallikarjuna Kharge and chief whip Jyotiraditya Scindia will meet Speaker Sumitra Mahajan on Sunday and put forward their argument on this issue.
