Telugu Desam Party president N Chandara Babu Naidu has said that his party will join Narendra Modi government at the centre. TDP won 16 Lok Sabha seats and over 100 seats in the Assembly polls.
It seems people of Seemandhra put their trust on Chandrababu Naidu and his development schemes. People have given a clear mandate to TDP-BJP alliance in the state to form a stable government which can develop residual state of Andhra Pradesh after the unfortunate division.
The mandate was also against Jagan Mohan Reddy as the voters of Seemandhra were not convinced by YSR Congress’ plan to develop the city. Redyy failed to address the concerns of the urban middle class which is worried of job-loss after creation of Telengana.
Reacting to his victory, Naidu said, “People were fed up with the Congress’ ‘misgovernance’, corruption and their conspiracies to secure votes and seats at the cost of national interests. The people of the country taught a fitting lesson to the Congress, relegating it to the level of a regional party with just around 50 Lok Sabha seats.”
“We have to start developing the state right from the scratch. We need to look right from the bolts and nuts to start assembling and building the state. Even things like where to start operating from is not clear yet. For Modi, India offers a great opportunity for development with excellent natural and human resources. The country was badly looking for a strong leader with vision and we are confident Modi will now fulfill those aspirations and create wonders for the country,” Chandara Babu Naidu added.
