The union cabinet is set to evaluate the GoM report on Telengana Bill on December 4 ahead of the winter session of the Parliament. According to media reports the GoM proposed 10 districts for new Telangana state with Hyderabad being the joint capital for both Andhra Pradesh and Telengana.
Also in the draft GoM keeps Bhadrachalam of Khammam district in Telangana.
“The final report of the GoM as well as the AP Reorganization Bill, 2013, will be submitted to the Union Cabinet on December 4. The cabinet will take up both the items for clearance at its meeting the same day at 5 pm,” home minister Sushilkumar Shinde informed media.
“All precautions have been taken to make the bill error-free and opinions of legal experts were sought before undertaking the exercise,” he added.
Confirming on Bhadrachalam issue he said, “There are no problems whatsoever over Hyderabad and the temple town of Bhadrachalam.”
Shinde told media that he is open to any suggestion from Cabinet and his government is firm on “not hurt anybody”.
Shinde also informed that the bill will be introduced in the winter session of Parliament and the final bill will be ready in a couple of days.
