The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) slammed Congress Vice President Rahul Gandhi on Saturday for saying that the recent communal riots in UP were pre-planned.
BJP leader Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi said that Rahul Gandhi and Congress party should give up arrogance.
“Rahul Gandhi should introspect and decide the direction of his own party. Congress should give up on its arrogance,” Naqvi said.
Another BJP leader Giriraj Singh also hit out at Rahul Gandhi by saying, “I think Rahul Gandhi should not think that people are fool.”
Congress, meanwhile, continued attacking BJP over the rising communal riots in Uttar Pradesh.
Senior Congress leader Rashid Alvi said, there are some elements which “push Uttar Pradesh into communal fire. We all know this,”
Rahul was seen aggressive on the well of the Lok Sabha on Wednesday in demand for discussion the Communal Violence Bill.
Government agreed to a discussion on the Communal Violence Bill on Monday.
“There will be a discussion on communal violence on Monday. The Chair has agreed. Two hours will be allotted for the discussion. We also want a discussion on communal violence in the country,” Minister of State for Parliament Affairs Santosh Gangwar said.
BJP also criticised Rahul for blaming the Speaker of being “completely one-sided, partial”.
