BJP says no manifesto; to stage 5 questions every day for AAP

The BJP, on Thursday, announced that the party won’t be coming out with a manifesto for the upcoming Delhi polls, but will release a vision document for the capital in a day or two, which will feature a roadmap for development and welfare of the people. The party also announced that it will stage 5 questions per day to its main competitor AAP.

The party president Amit Shah, reported The Times Of India, held a review meeting Thursday with senior party members, including cabinet ministers, at the party’s headquarters in the national capital. The party is fielding 120 candidates for the coming polls and is aiming at winning the polls with two-third majority.

The party raised 5 questions for Kejriwal on Thursday, immediately after it made an announcement about this. Ministers Rajiv Pratap Rudy and Nirmala Sitharaman staged questions on Thursday, which are as follows:

1. In December 2013, Kejriwal said he will not take the Congress or BJP’s support. He then took the Congress support to form government. Where was his morality then? Why did sacrifice his ethics to come to power?

2. Kejriwal had said that he would initiate a probe against Sheila Dikshit (of the Congress) when he comes to power. Why did he not do that? Why were documents against her not made public? Why was no case filed?

3. Kejriwal wants to be a common man, wants to stay away from the ‘lal batti’. He said he would not keep security men. Then why did he take Z category security from the UP Police? Why did he take security from Delhi Police as well?

4. Why did Kejriwal’s government ask for SUVs for official purposes? How have the comforts of life caught up with him that he is asking for SUVs?

5. He said he is against use of private jets. Why did he a use private jet? Why does he buy business  class tickets when he travels, even when he goes for fund collection, he travels in business class?

The AAP quickly countered the questions. Senior AAP leader Yogendra Yadav said, “Just want to tell BJP, they can ask us 50, not five questions, but at least they should come up with new set of questions. The same questions have been repeatedly asked and been answered. It clearly shows that panic has set in the BJP.”
