Bangalore Police arrested two gym instructors in 6-year-old rape case

The Bangalore Police today arrested two gym instructors in the six-year-old girl’s rape case in the school compound. The police have also ruled out the connection of the skating instructor Mustafa whom police had arrested earlier.

Deputy Commissioner of Police (Crime) Abhishek Goel told reporters that the investigations are still on.

“The case has been solved in terms of identifying culprits. Two persons, Lalgiri and Wasim Pasha, both gym teachers, have been arrested,” Goel said.

“The child was not in the dark room as suspected earlier when crime happened but it happened in the premises,” he added.

The accused gym teachers have been booked under Section 376 D of IPC Section 4 and 5 of POSCO (Protection of Child from Sexual Offences) Act.

Earlier police have also arrested chairman of the school Rustom Kerawalla from Diu and currently he is out on a conditional bail.

The school was re-opened on Monday.
