Aam Aadmi Party chief Arvind Kejriwal on Monday met Delhi Lt Governor Najeeb Jung and discussed the political situation in Delhi. Kejriwal and his 26 MLAs told governor that the delay in dissolving assembly was led to horse trading.
In his tweet, Kejriwal said, “Met LG. Had good discussions. He will now invite BJP for discussions. If BJP claims they can form govt, LG will ask them to show nos.”
“We told him that delay in dissolving assembly was encouraging horse trading,” he added.
Kejriwal has been alleging that the BJP is approaching its MLAs and his party demanded a fresh election in Delhi.
Reacting to AAP’s allegations, BJP’s Delhi chief Satish Upadhyay had said, “The BJP’s stand is clear… if Delhi goes to polls tomorrow, we are ready… and if we are asked to form the government, we will analyse our numbers and take a call accordingly.
The BJP has also sent Kejriwal a 1-crore defamation notice, alleging “mental agony, harassment and defamation.”
