Aam Aadmi Party Chief Arvind Kejriwal hjas attacked newly appointed Delhi BJP’s Chief Ministerial candidate – Dr. Harsh Vardhan on Wednesday by comparing him with Prime Minister Manmohan Singh.
“Is Dr Harsh Vardhan BJP’s Manmohan Singh in Delhi?” Kejriwal tweeted adding, “A corrupt Congress made Manmohan Singh its face at Centre. Manmohan failed to check corruption within congress and his own Govt. A corrupt BJP has now made Harsh Vardhan its face in Delhi. What did Harshvardhan do all these years to check BJP’s corruption in MCD?”
“And does BJP now concede that Vijay Goel is corrupt?” he added.
BJP today announced former health minister, Harsh Vardhan’s name as tts chief ministerial candidate.
Sources tell that Harsh vardhan was BJP’s prime ministerial candidate Narendra Modi, BJP president Rajnath Singh and Rajya Sabha leader Arun Jaitley’s choice over front-runner Delhi BJP chief Vijay Goel.
Meanwhile Arvind Kejriwal said he is confident that Delhi will vote for AAP. Speaking with a national daily the AAP chief said, “AAP was formed only in November last year. In less than a year, various surveys and polls are predicting that AAP would get more than 25% vote share. The recent ABP Neilson survey has also said that our party would get more that 26% votes. Our estimate is that we would get around 32% votes if polling is held today. As election nears, the vote share is bound to increase further to a very significant figure. What is interesting is that our share has only increased over the months whereas that of Cong and BJP has dipped. This upward trend is indicative of a party that is going to sweep the elections rather than that of a ‘spoilsport’. This has happened only twice in history before, once with TDP and other with Assam Gan Parishad.”
