Arun Jaitley says Indian force responding effectively to ceasefire violations by Pakistan

Defence Minister Arun Jaitley today reacted strongly against Pakistan’s repeated attempt of violating ceasefire along the LoC in Jammu and Kashmir and said Indian force are responding effectively to the provocation.

Speaking at an occasion of commissioning INS Kamorta into the Indian Navy, Arun Jaitley said, “Our Army & BSF are effectively responding to each violation… country has full faith.”

Pakistan is accused of violating the ceasefire almost 16 times in the last 16 days.

On Saturday two civilians including a three-year-old kid were killed by Pakistani firing in the RS Pura sector in Jammu. The heavy firing caused injury to six more people.

“Pak Rangers resorted to heavy shelling of 82-mm mortars and firing of automatic weaponry on 22 BoPs and civilian areas along IB in Arnia and R S Pura sub-sectors of Jammu district from 0030 hours today,” a senior BSF officer told PTI.
