Arun Jaitley says government to disclose Black Money Names soon

To take a dig at Congress, the Finance Minister Arun Jaitley said the government will reveal the black money names very soon in court and the names will embarrass Congress party.

“The Congress will be embarrassed by the names when we reveal them in court,” said Jaitley in an interview with NDTV on Tuesday.

Jaitley said that it was a misconception in the media that his government had said it would never reveal the names of Indians who have undeclared money in accounts in foreign banks.

“The names (of black money account holders) will be public shortly. I can assure you there is no embarrassment I (BJP) will have when all the names are disclosed. There is some embarrassment the Congress party will have because of those names,” he said.

Replying to Congress attack on government’s decision to not reveal the name, Arun Jaitley said, under
Tax treaties government cannot disclosure of names till charges are framed in court, however, it will not take much time to disclose the names in Court.

“Once we inform the court, the names will automatically come out in public; the media and Congress got this story all wrong,” he said.

Jaitley said Congress needs to be worried not BJP after disclosing the names.
