Senior BJP leader and party’s Uttar Pradesh campaign chief Amit Shah has claimed that the NDA will get a massive majority with over 300 seats and Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi will become India’s next Prime Minister.
“The NDA will get more than 300 seats in these elections. We will get a clear majority and our prime ministerial candidate Narendra Modi will be the Prime Minister,” Amit Shah said.
Targeting Election Commission, Amit Shah said it was not taking its responsibilities seriously.
“We feel that the EC is running away from its responsibilities. It said it will probe the District Magistrate’s role (in cancelling the Modi rally). We had demanded his transfer. If the EC wants to hold free and fair elections, then it has to transfer the Varanasi DM,” Shah said.
“The EC must deploy paramilitary forces everywhere in Uttar Pradesh. In Varanasi, paramilitary forces should be present at every booth. Only this will ensure free and fair elections,” Shah added.
Slamming the Congress, BSP and the SP Amit Shah said all three party are in collusion in Uttar Pradesh.
“The SP and the Congress have an understanding. The SP did not field any candidate in Rae Bareli and Amethi. (BSP chief) Mayawati supports the Congress as and when she pleases. These elections are now all about Modi vs the rest,” Shah said in Varanasi.
