AAP reeks of internal crisis, Yadav denies

The AAP was fighting unarmed with an internal crisis on Sunday after senior leader Prashant Bhushan like fellow colleague Yogendra Yadav accused the party heads of not obeying party principles and said that they had ‘faultered on several counts’. They were meaning to refer to the Chief Minister and AAP Leader Arvind Kejriwal. Bhushan also said the party had a ‘one person-centric’ approach.

Sanjay Singh, member of the AAP political affairs committee, tweeted: “The people who want to remove Arvind Kejriwal from the National Convenor’s, do they know what the worker is feeling?”

About seven months ago, Yadav had criticised Kejriwal of falling prey to ‘personality cult’.

But recently he said that “For the past few days, I have been hearing things about me and Prashant ji (Prashant Bhushan). New stories are being planted and allegations are being leveled against (us) and conspiracies are being hatched.”

Photo: PTI”I am saddened, but also find it funny. I find it funny because these are baseless. Those scripting stories have a lot of time but I feel sad with the intention. The government of Delhi has given us our biggest victory. The time is to work after the big victory. The country has a lot of expectations from us. I can expect that from our small acts, we should not let this ray of hope become small,” Mr Yadav said in a Facebook post.

He says that the stories about any crisis in the party are imaginary and it was time to work hard after the big victory in the polls and not pay attention to any ‘small acts’.

AAP social media head Ankit Lal tweeted “If AAP had only 20 seats, what a state these people would have left Arvind in. Despite 67 seats, questions are being raised about his political acumen. Those people who did not even have 2 jansabhas…”

Dilip Pandey, a part of the election campaign group, had also written to the party.

He wrote that before the dissolution of the last Assembly “attempts were being surreptitiously made to seek Congress support to form the government again in Delhi without having to contest elections”.

Followed by an advancement to empower him to reconstruct the Political Affairs Committee(PAC), making the way out for Prashant Bhushan and Yogendra Yadav from political decision making processes.
