Aam Aadmi Party chief Arvind Kejriwal begins indefinite fast

Aam Aadmi Party Chief Arvind Kejriwal has begun his indefinite hunger strike against rising electricity and water prices at Nand Nagri in New Delhi on Saturday.

“The time has come to motivate people against illegal rise in taxes by the Delhi government,” Kejriwal told reporters on Friday.

Kejriwal has appealed to the people of Delhi to pay only half the amount of electricity bills because increased amount is not justified.

Aam Aadmi Party members have also begun protest across 264 wards in Delhi and asking people not to pay government’s new increased bills.

Kejriwal blamed Sheila Dikshit led Delhi government for overcharging customers unnecessarily.

Kejriwal said that Anna Hazare will join his protest.  “He has assured to come on March 29.”

However according to some media reports Anna Hazare has denied Kejriwal’s claim.
