The doctor at the All India Institute of Medical Sciences on Saturday said that the five-year-old rape victim is stable and is responding to antibiotics.
Medical Superintendent at AIIMS Dr. B.K. Sharma informed reporters that the child is on IV fluids and her vitals are within normal limits.
“We have constituted a team of eight doctors who are attending to her, she is under close monitoring,” Dr. B.K. Sharma said.
She was shifted to AIIMS from Swami Dayanand Hospital last evening.
Doctors at Swami Dayanand Hospital told media that foreign parts like bottle and candle was found in her private parts.
“We found a 200 ml bottle and two or three pieces of candle inserted into her private parts. This is the first time I have seen such barbarism,” said RK Bansal, medical superintendent of Swami Dayanand Hospital.
“There were injuries on her lips, cheeks, arms and anus area, and bruise marks on her neck, suggesting that attempts were made to strangle her. The blood pressure was way below normal,” RK Bansal said.
