Amidst criticism over the pathetic law and order situation in the state, the Akhilesh Yadav government in Uttar Pradesh has transferred 36 IAS officers with promise to “improve law and order.”
In a recent review meeting on state law & order, Akhilesh Yadav told the district magistrates and senior police officers to be more cautious and take actions without any delay.
Akhilesh Yadav is under tremendous pressure as another BJP leader was shot dead about 500 km away in Muzaffarnagar on Tuesday. Earlier on Monday, another BJP leader was killed by unidentified men. The murders were taken place at a time when the government is facing severe lack of credibility after its mishandling the Badaun rape and murder case where two teenage girls were found hanging from a tree.
