The ban on the release of Actor and director Kamal Haasan’s controversial film ‘Vishwaroopam’ ends peacefully as the filmmaker agrees to delete 7 ‘offensive scenes’ from the film after talks with Muslim groups on Saturday.
Hassan will announce the release date of ‘Vishwaroopam’ very soon.
“I’ve arrived at a consensus with my Muslim brothers. We’ve agreed to cut some scenes from the film which they found to be objectionable,” Kamal Haasan informed media.
The Muslim groups also decided to withdraw protests after the talks.
The meeting between the two parties – Kamal Hassan and Muslims groups – was initialed by the TN government on Friday. Kamal Hassan also thanked Chief Minister J. Jayalalithaa for moderate the situation.
The Rs.95 crore mega budget film Vishwaroopam’s Hindi version has already released in the rest of the country on Feb 1st. The film is getting rave reviews across India.
