Time magazine has unveiled its annual list of the 100 most influential people in the world. Time’s 2013 list showcases those who have been deemed to change the world for better or for worse. Time has named controversial North Korean leader Kim Jong Un as one of the most influential people in the world in 2013 along with US President Barack Obama, rapper Jay-Z, Pakistani brave-heart Malala Yousafzai, actress Jennifer Lawrence, TV personality Oprah Winfrey, businessman Elon Musk and Indian actor Aamir Khan.
For the first time in its history Time Magazine has published seven special front covers for annual Time 100.
Categorised in five sections – titans, pioneers, leaders, icons and artists – the Time 100 list features personalities around the world from various field including politics, social service, sports, music, business and arts.
2013 Time 100 list features 35 women including US first lady Michelle Obama, Burmese politician Aung San Suu Kyi, Duchess of Cambridge Kate Middleton, Booker Prize winning author Hilary Mantel, Singer Christina Aguilera and Beyoncé.
Barack Obama made into the list for the consecutive eighth years. Some of the other personalities who made into the Times’ list of 2013 are:
