Another setback for accused Talwar couple in the ongoing trial of murder of their only daughter Aarushi and domestic help Hemraj!
The Supreme Court on Tuesday has rejected the petition of the Talwar couple seeking to take records on narco analysis and brain mapping tests of the three domestic helps in the Aarushi-Hemraj murder case.
While defending lawyer U U Lalit argued that such tests on their servants suggested the possibility of their involvement.
On behalf of CBI, Additional Solicitor General Siddharth Luthra opposed the plea saying the results of such tests cannot be permissible as evidence and it’s a tactics of prolongs the proceedings.
A bench of justices BS Chauhan and SA Bobde dismissed the plea after hearing both the party.
Earlier the Allahabad High Court dismissed their plea to order the CBI to produce the reports of tests carried out on Raj Kumar, Vijay Mandal and Krishna in the trial court.
Dr Rajesh & Dr Nupur Talwar are facing trial for allegedly killing their 14-year-old daughter Arushi on May 16, 2008 with her throat slit in her bedroom in Noida and Hemraj’s body was found on the terrace. CBI claimed that Dr. Rajesh killed his daughter and Hemraj after they were found in compromising position on that night. His wife helped him to cover up the crime scenes.
